Vynkify Privacy Policy

Vynkify (“Vynkify”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a productivity and collaboration application that helps users manage tasks, habits, goals, and shared expenses individually or within groups (“Vynks”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and delete information when you use the Vynkify mobile application and related services (“Services”).

By using Vynkify, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Our Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Services.

Eligibility

Vynkify is intended for users aged 13 years and above.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use Vynkify, we may collect the following information:

Personal Information

• Name

• Email address

• Profile photo (optional)

• Account identifiers

Productivity Data

• Tasks, task metadata, and completion history

• Habits, habit streaks, reminders, and progress

• Goals and notes

Financial Data

• Expenses, amounts, categories, and dates

• Split payments and settlement details within Vynks (groups)

• Financial insights and suggested transactions generated from your data

⚠️ Note: Vynkify does not store your bank credentials, debit card details, or credit card information.

1.2 Social Login Information

If you sign in using third-party authentication services, we receive limited information as permitted by those platforms:

Google Sign-In (login only)

• Email address

• Name

• Profile picture (if shared)

Apple Sign-In

• Apple-generated user identifier

• Email address (real or private relay, depending on your Apple settings)

Facebook Sign-In

• Public profile details such as name and email address

Important: Signing in with Google, Apple, or Facebook does not by itself give Vynkify access to your Gmail inbox. Gmail access is requested only if you separately choose to connect Gmail through Inbox sync (see Section 11).

We do not access your contacts, messages, or social activity outside of what is described in this Privacy Policy and only with your permission.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

• Device type

• Operating system version

• App version

• Log data such as errors, crashes, and performance metrics

• Anonymous usage analytics

This information is used strictly to improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain Vynkify features

• Manage tasks, habits, expenses, and insights

• Enable collaboration within Vynks (groups)

• Process optional Gmail-connected data to detect and suggest financial transactions (see Section 11)

• Send important service-related notifications

• Improve product experience and performance

• Ensure security and prevent abuse

• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not use Gmail data for advertising.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

• With your consent, such as data you choose to share within Vynks (groups)

• With trusted service providers, including cloud hosting, email processing, analytics, and notification services that operate on our behalf

• For legal reasons, such as court orders or lawful requests by authorities

• To protect rights, safety, or security of users, the platform, or the public

Gmail-derived data is not shared with other Vynk members unless you explicitly choose to share resulting financial entries within a group.

All service providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations and are permitted to use data only to perform services on our behalf.

We do not sell Gmail data or share it with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored using industry-standard security practices

• Access to data is restricted and monitored

• Sensitive data, including OAuth tokens used for Gmail access, is encrypted where applicable

• Gmail API calls are made server-side; the Vynkify mobile app does not call the Gmail API directly

Gmail-connected data is processed on secure servers operated by Fluition Sphere LLP and its infrastructure providers.

While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

5. Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active

• Gmail-derived data is retained only while your Gmail account remains connected and as needed to provide suggested transactions and related features

• When you revoke Gmail access, we revoke OAuth tokens with Google and delete associated Gmail-derived data from our systems within a reasonable period

• Certain data may be retained temporarily for legal, compliance, or operational reasons

You may request deletion of your account at any time through the app.

6. Account Deletion

Vynkify provides in-app account deletion.

What happens when you delete your account:

• Your account is immediately deactivated

• You lose access to all Vynkify services

• Your data becomes inaccessible to you and other users

• Any active Gmail connections are revoked

Deletion Timeline

• Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days

• During this period, the data is securely stored but inaccessible

Data That Will Be Deleted

• Personal profile information

• Tasks, habits, streaks, and progress

• Financial records, expense data, and suggested transactions

• Gmail connection data and Gmail-derived processing data

• Vynk memberships and collaborations

• Preferences, notifications, insights, and analytics

If you signed in using Apple, Google, or Facebook, deleting your Vynkify account removes the association with those providers but does not delete your account with them. Those accounts must be managed directly through the respective providers.

You may also revoke Vynkify’s access to Gmail at any time through Google Account permissions without deleting your Vynkify account.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Correct inaccurate information

• Request deletion of your data

• Withdraw consent where applicable

• Revoke Gmail access through the app or through Google

8. Third-Party Services

Vynkify may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including Google (for sign-in and optional Gmail access), Apple, and Facebook.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services and encourage you to review their policies separately.

Where you connect Gmail, your use is also subject to Google’s terms and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, notifying users through the app.

Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

11. Google Gmail Integration (Optional)

This section applies only if you choose to connect a Gmail account through Profile → Inbox sync → Connect Gmail Account.

11.1 What We Access

With your explicit consent, Vynkify requests read-only access to your Gmail account through Google OAuth using the scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly

We may access:

• Email metadata (such as date, sender, and subject)

• Email message content, where needed to identify financial transactions such as bank alerts, payment confirmations, receipts, and subscription notices

We do not request permission to send, modify, delete, label, or compose Gmail messages.

11.2 How We Use Gmail Data

Gmail data is used solely to provide user-facing features you request, including:

• Detecting financial activity in connected mailboxes

• Generating suggested transactions in Finance → Suggested Transactions

• Allowing you to review, modify, accept, or reject those suggestions

We do not use Gmail data to:

• Serve advertisements

• Sell or rent data

• Build unrelated user profiles for marketing

• Share mailbox content with other Vynk members by default

11.3 Limited Use Requirements

Vynkify’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• Gmail data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the requesting application’s user interface

• We do not use Gmail data for serving advertisements

• We do not sell Gmail data

• We do not allow humans to read Gmail content except:

  • (a) with your explicit consent for support,

  • (b) for security purposes, or

  • (c) as required by law

• Gmail data is not transferred to third parties except:

  • service providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations, or

  • as required by law

11.4 Where Processing Occurs

Gmail access and processing occur on secure backend servers operated by Fluition Sphere LLP and its infrastructure providers, including our application backend and email-processing services.

The mobile app obtains your OAuth consent but does not perform Gmail API reads directly.

11.5 Retention and Deletion

• While connected: We retain Gmail-derived data needed to provide suggested transactions and related features

• Revoke in app: Go to Profile → Inbox sync → Revoke. We revoke OAuth tokens with Google and delete associated Gmail-derived data from our systems within a reasonable period

• Delete account: Section 6 applies; Gmail connection data and derived data are included in account deletion

• Revoke through Google: You may remove Vynkify’s access at Google Account permissions

11.6 Your Choice and Control

Gmail integration is optional. You may use Vynkify without connecting Gmail.

If you do not connect Gmail, we do not access your mailbox content.
